Primary Advantages:

Babies that learn sign language:
  • Are able to better communicate their wants and needs
  • May be less frustrated bacause they can express themselves (less tantrums!)
  • Have an earlier understanding of their primary language
  • May learn to speak earlier (often have a much larger vocabulary than other babies their age)
  • May have a higher I.Q.
  • May have a graeter ability to learn other languages later in life
Parents who use sign language:
  • May have less frustration on your part because you know what your baby wants
  • May have a deeper bond with their baby
